#24556, "regarding APC Gen II projector headlight"

Does anybody have this APC gen II projector (with 2 projector lenses for each side)?
http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=dsppartdetail&vmakeid=250&vmodelid=015&vcatyear=1999&vnopinum=850%2B0342&vTitle=1999%20MITSUBISHI%20Eclipse%20Lighting%20Headlamp%20Assembly

I found it at Nopi, and it looks good. I wonder how its fitment is. I have to change my OEM right headlight ASAP due to wreck by some punk. If this is not better than Nakayama projector, then I might buy Nakayama's from procarparts.
I appreciate any inputs.
TIA.

From what he said in an earlier post they are hella brighter from the first ones. But there was something about them having to be hardwired?? Hopefully he will post to this and give you all the specifics.

Thank you, fasterGS!

Yeah, I probably have to go with Nakayama one to avoid all the hassles emoji
Sad news it doesn't come up with the wiring hardness, and it has shitty fitment. damn, I wanted it so bad.

Yeah the look bad as shit during the day and are bright as hell at night, but be prepared for custom wiring and filling the fenders where there is a gap.

Mine have a leak i need to work out, sometimes all this florida humidty gets in there.

nick, what you mean that there is no back? is there no back caps or no rear half of the headlight altogether? is it possible for you to take a picture of what the back looks like in the car and post it, i was thinking about getting them, but for the price, they better not require a ridiculous amount of custom fitting.
Thanks
james

When you pop the hood of your car and look at your headlights, there is a black housing that is visible. This plack housing has two 3 diameter gray circles that twist so that you can install a new headlight bulb. This entire black housing does not come with these lights.

No rear portion of the headlight assembly.

Yes my friend has a digital camera. I'll try to take some this
weekend. As for the custom fitting, If I could do it all over again I would have heated my stock headlights and removed the rear black housing from them and retofitted it onto the new ones. I currently have a leak.

Plus you will HAVE to do custom wiring to the new headlights because they do not come with any wiring. This means you will have to take your stock headlight that has wiring built into it, cut it, strip it out, put it into the new headlight and splice it back together.

Also, you will have to fill the fender gaps. I have these healights in all the way they can go, and they don't fit seamlessly.

Thanks Nick,
I do not have problem with the custom fitting and wiring and all the other crap, but man do you think the quality and coolness factor warrants the price tag, i saw them at nopi for like 240 something. are the light fixtures all metal? because the price seems a little steep for half a headlight. i like the way they look immensely, i guess i have to decide if i like the more than 240 bucks!
thanks!!!
james
