It's a very long story that I'm sure no one wants to hear, but the main point is, I have a couple of small (fist sized or smaller) dents and some scratches, all that can be buffed out except for one long one on the door. I can't go to insurance cuz I'm on a family policy and my stepsis has two accidents and my mom has one. If I use insurance for this one, than they'll cancel insurance for my whole family. I can't afford a policy on my own yet. Is there anybody that knows a body shop in the bay area that could do this for the least amount possible? I'm really in a bind. It's not undrivable, but it looks horrible during the day. Any help< is appreciated. Thanks in Advance.[br />

If someone hit you, then why are they not paying for it? If someone hit me and caused damage to my car, I'd get their insurance info and get all info off their drivers license. Id hold them acountable and tell them to either have their insurance cover the damage, or get quotes on how much to fix it and have them pay me so their rates dont go up.

well I guess I have to tell the long and boring story.

I was in the second to slow lane getting over to exit. I was halfway over and I feel a nudge from my right side. The car takes off to the right and off the road onto the shoulder. I spin a 180 so I'm facing backwards. By the time I regained control of my car and looked to see who it was, 16 million cars had passed. This is around 9:45 in the morning on 101, a very busy freeway. The person driving the car that nudged me was gone. Hit and Runs can suck nuts

tell your insurance company someone hit you in a parking lot. i dont think that goes against you. depends on your coverage tho.

I have AAA full coverage, but it will go on my driving record and from the damage you can tell I was moving. See what a pinch I'm in?

what part of the door is it on? you might be able to take of the door panel and push it out from the other side. our cars only have a couple spots on the door that you can do that to. might be worth a try.
