Ok this is the problem i am faceing... I want to mount an LCD in my car so that I can tie in my navagation and DVD system into it, but I am having a hard time deciding where to put the LCD. I'm really looking for an LCD to go in the center console below the radio, but i can't find a unit that will go there short of those motorized ones that cost about 1000 bucks. too much for me. So basically I'm loking to see what sweet @ss mods you guys have done with your LCD's so I can figure out how to do mine. I would love to see pics of your guys work. Thanks in Advance for any info you guys have

ahh... you get what you pay for IMO. I would get one installed in a visor or maybe in the glove box, or something in the center console perhaps? Up to you but just my advice.

iron Mike ..

what I think might be pretty cool is if you opened up the ps2, extend the wires going to the actual dvd tray and put the tray flush with the center console underneath the cd player.. and then put the actual system hidden somewhere like under a seat or something.. you'd also have to extend the wires to the open close button, but it could be real nice.

that would be a huge pain in the ass and render all warentys and stuff gone. Look, to do n e thing custom takes alot of work and knowladge. To hide the PS2look at cyans setup, he has a false floor on his site for his. A sceenin the dash would be a ton of worrk and the cost would equal an indash screen n e way. Its taken me a week to design and draw out a desgin a motorized sceen for the a pillar and new speaker box. But it will be cool when Im done I hope.

For the PS2.... if you want it to look really good then do that that one guy said with the plush dash dealy. However for the controllers have a plug in thingy right in the dash... it was in some magazine but I don't know which one. I don't know how they did it but it's real simple. Now that I think about it the car I'm talking about was in the Tweeter book they put out for all their car audio.

all that stuff sounds sweet, but it looks very complicated. for me at least.
Im looking into the Alpine Cva's..either the cva-1003 or 1006.
I saw some nice setup's in 2g eclipses while browsing thru cardomain.com. most had the cva-1006 or 1005 and it looked tight, they are 6.5in screens.
but the only ps2 i saw setup was in the driver side airbag, on the dash!. I thought that was kinda odd looking becuse it was sticking like half way out, also very unsafe.
anyway, im leaning towards putting it securly under the driver seat.
is anyone running a alpine CVA screen? curious to how you got it setup
Thanks guys

I have a Alpine IVA-C800 It's the same thing but it has the built in cd player and I have it on the top half of my opening and it fits in there with the screen open perfectly. Looks better when its open then in any other car I've seen so far. The bottom of the double din still has the tray but will be replace with a alpine dvd soon. I had a X box on my back seat folded down but i did away with that when I hooked up the nitrous. I'll send you some pics in like two days when I get my car back from the body shop. emoji (Gettin teh rest of my body kit on) emoji emoji

thanks i appreciate it. ironmike28@aol.com

Right Now i have a pioneer deh-p740mp cd player.
can i hook that up to the cva-1003,1005,1006 and run my mp3's/cds from that and use the ps2 as my dvd/video game player? I was thinking like put the cd player right underneath the CVA so they both would fit right where the stock radio fits. do they make kits for this or would i have to do some custom work?
Thanks.

Heres a pic of what i have now:

The bracket that you screw the stereo into should support a double din stereo or two single din items. (Or atleast mine does) Nothing custom should have to be done but I would think it would be kind of a waste in my opinion to have your stereo and the CVA together. You can get a pretty decent indash dvd/cd player for around $200 that will hook up right below the CVA unit. If you get the CVA I would sell your stereo, Get some change for that and then just get a dvd/cd player Since the cva unit already has the built in amp to run your speakers and a stereo tuner in it. Just my .02 cents. Hope that help and I will get those pics to you in like a day or two. Car still in the shop.

so basically swap my stereo with another one. I dont see why to bother, i mean, if mine would hook up the same way just plug it in. And i dont need an in-dash dvd player cause the PS2 will do that.
but i defiently wanna see your setup, now im just trying to find a sweet deal on a CVA.
Thanks again.
