#22995, "LED install --- Cruise control ON & OFF buttons"

Well... I've completed everything but the ON and OFF on the cruise switch. The stock LEDs are very small and are soldered onto the board and are run up to a small hole. Has anyone changed them out? Did you use smaller LEDs or what?!?

Also... I'm still looking for reverse indiglos if anyone has a set for sale. Guess I'll post in the sale section.

Late

the cruise button was hard for me. sand the LED down to just barely above the metal filament and you should be good. mine was soldered to the board. i have a set of reverse gauges and can get some. but i am waiting for the place i got mine to send my email back. they are slow with that

I'll try that with the LED. Hit me up with some info on the reverse indiglos. I'm picky... so if you have a picture that'd be great... I really need to buy a set so I'll be done w/ my dash. Thanks

I replaced those LEDs. They are T-1(3mm) size. RadioShack dosen't carry them in the store. You'll either have to order through the internet or find a better place than RadioShack. I ordered mine throught www.DigiKey.com

You shouldn't need a resistor when replacing the stock LEDs. I read about 2V across the stock LEDs which should be within speck for most LEDs you find. Remember to look for the highest MCD value (peak brightness) possible.
