#22960, "installed indiglo gauges gas gauge stopped working"

Has this happened to anyone else. I installed the gauges yesterday morning and my gas guage doesn't work. I didn't remove the needle, but I did move it around to get the face over the needle. All the others still work. Any suggestions?

take out the guage cluster and make sure that the indiglo overlay is not stopping the needle from moving. The same thing happened to my tach and it was because the indiglo gauge wasnt pushed all the way down and it was rubbing against the needle.

I brushed clear epoxy on the back of my gauge faces so they stick down. 2 sided tape would work. Just make sure the needle isn't caught by the face bubbling up, or the overlay is up against the pivot point of the needle.

Thanks guys. I figured it out earlier, but it was exactly what you guys said. The overlay was interfearing with the needle. My interior lighting conversion is now complete. Everything lights up in blue and red. My gauges are silver to macth my hed unit.

which kit did you get? I got the advanced concepts aka ac autotechnic. Reverse indiglos. They have a switch to change colors or brightness. I love them. Makes my car look so much more high tech or something.

Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera so it'll be a while before I can get picks up (shoot roll of film, develop film, scan pictures, upload pictures, post pictures). They look good. I had to get the gauges for the turbo since having the correct tach is more important to me than having the correct temp and gas gauges. It looks better than I thought and my friends didn't notice anything wrong with them.

I got them off e-bay from this guy:

My only complaint is that the original Speedo has a dash every 5 mph and this only has it every 10 mph. They only cost me $31 shipped with insurance. Almost had to use the insurance too (US Mail placed them in the front hallway of the condo that is never used. It was a month before one of my neigbors discovered it there)

www.Procarparts.com has the silver for our cars with the 8k rpm tach. As well as the same gauge as above for the Turbo. They are pricey though. Check out Ebay, Procarparts auctions the gauges off their as well.

Eventually I'll order a set for the N/A Eclipse and mix and match.

Actually I just noticed, there is a diffrence between the Porcarparts and the once I bought.

The ones I bought:

Porcarparts:

The numbers on the Porcarparts are blue and the ones I have are red

And I just saw these:

I think they look even better
