#22638, "FAQ On Projectors"

To actual people to have projectors are they a LOT worst then stock?

What is the difference between the $200(most of them) or the $300 ones, mostly the price?

What is the difference between ION and Clear Projectors.

Where can i find detailed info on projectors

Do they fit "perfectly" (Name Brand)? or you need to mod something?

Do they Hook up to the Wiring Harness?

Any more info we should know.?

Why Projectors? Me i want to buy them becuase they are a sheap alternative to NEW lights (Around $250 instead of $350 or $400)and NEW instead of USED.

All I can say is I have mine for about 3 months now and their AWESOME. The first thing I did was change the stock light bulb with a pair of PIAA Super Plasma H3 Bulbs (Low Beam) Got a pair off Ebay for $40 shipped. The High Beam uses H1 bulbs.

The PIAA Super Plasma shines really nice (5000K rating).

What is the difference between ION and Clear Projectors.

* ION has a Blue Lense but when you turn on your lights it's a Amber (yellow) color. Go with the clear.

Where can i find detailed info on projectors

* Search the web??

Do they fit "perfectly" (Name Brand)? or you need to mod something?

* Mine fit fine (98 Eclipse Spyder GS) - Bought it from procarparts.com $172.00 on Ebay.

Do they Hook up to the Wiring Harness?

* Once you take of the stock lights - Underneath there's a wire harness plug - Just plug the projectors right in - Simple as that.

Hope that helps

Ive got the exact same projectors that he ^^^ has. Ive had mine for about a month and a half and have no problems whatsoever with them. Im still using the bulbs that came with them though and visibility isnt a problem. Im wary of changing to the blue bulbs since thats how I melted my stock headlight wiring harnesses. The fit is excellent and you should go for it. Just remember that in order to get your headlights off you will have to remove the bumper (do this by removing the rebar while its attached to the bumper, makes it a lot easier)

Actually i did remove the bumper, that is a good trick/tip, remove the RE-BAR with the bumper is still atached, i notice to remove the bumper the lights are on the way of 4 screws (in the middle of the bar), if you take out the rebar (4 screws, on the outher edge of the bar) is a hell of a lot faster and easier, Thanks.

That's why I installed PIAA Super Plasma instead of those other cheap Blue Bulbs that melts your harness like Hyper.

PIAA'S are a well known Brand you can Trust.

i had the black housing projectors from procarparts and they were horrible the plastic pieces melted to the back of the bulbs and they were the stock bulbs..and somehow the levels broke out..there is nothing better then the stock headlights i just gonna take the amber part out and get the black housing painted silver to match my car...
