New writeup added...Involves installing grille mesh for your aftermarket/stock front bumper.

http://www.kaptainmyke.com/FAQs/meshfront.htm

This applies to most vehicles. Very simple and quick I might add. On a side note, I fixed the "sagging mouth" syndrome my car suffered since I got my bumper back from the shop. I took some angle brackets from Home depot and it bolts rite up to the frame in front and holds/supports the mouth 110% beter now. I also broke a tool today hehe...I was attempting to loosen my front motor mount and my socket adapter from 5/8 to 3/8 snapped off in my hand. DOH!

Hey Kaptain ... I knew that somehow, someday You and Spaniard372 were gonna drive me nuts with those pics of yours and the Stillen bumper... but that's It ! These pics have just made me loose whatever sanity I had left. All I am thinking right now is:
"I GOTTA HAVE THE STILLEN BUMPER"... "I GOTTA HAVE THE STILLEN BUMPER"... "I GOTTA HAVE THE STILLEN BUMPER"... emoji

I am probably gonna get burned for what I am about to say but honestly; it pains me to pay $850.00 for the Stillen Fascia when in fact with that amount of money I know I could've got something else (power-wise or handling/suspension-wise) since my car is indeed 100% stock (with some interior exceptions of course; HVAC lighting, short-shifter, and some other 'cosmetic' interior mods...) But... Now that I've busted my @ss working to save up some $$$ I've just made my decision ...
"I GOTTA HAVE THE STILLEN BUMPER" first !!! }> I'll worry about the other stuff later...

My only concern left though is that at the Stillen site (in the bumper paragraph), it says something about "all piece are mold". What exactly does that mean ? Is it that the bumper is not "direct bolt-on" or what ? Anything else guys I should worry when I get the bumper installed ? Are there any "After-side Effects" (other than people staring at my ride) that I should worry at all ?

Thanxs Guys ! I'd appreciate your help !

They way I installed my grill was like this...

drill 4 tiny holes in each corner of the opening and use a tiny-thin zip tie and strap em on.

However now, my sensei bumper cam with metal built into the bumper that allows you to clip the grill to.

850 for the stillen!!!!!! I'm pretty sure mike got his for 450 or somewhere in that ballpark. But 850 sounds a little too steep for that nose. You could get a whole urthane body kit for that price...

it was like $489ish shipped. I got a deal on it, cuz i was listening to the dood's life story on the phone hahah...he knocked off $100 (basically shipping costs for me)

As for "direct mold" or whatever you said i think they mean that it's "just a mold" cuz there was only like 2 or 4 holes predrilled in mine....so that means you have to drill all or most holes for fitment. It is not hard at all do to though.

NEW UPDATE> After me turning around at one of my buddy's houses I barely "kissed" the side of a cement barrier in his driveway with the front end and my paint is cracking once again. Pisses me off, really. hmmph! I am going to have to get it repainted soon anyways....but damn cant even enjoy it for one dayam month. Oh wells...can't get upset about it. What can you do, hehe. For now I used some touch up paint on the cracks...they are minor, but I'm anal about my car like anyone else on this board...

I have some mesh ive been trying to install for about a month now but I have a small problem. I tried to take the front bumper off but a couple of the bolts on the passenger side headlight are stripped out, they turn but wont come out.

First of all... Cucumber Thanxs 4 da' support !

Second... Icedout. I know what you are saying... Believe me man ! I've given a lot of thought. For $850 I know I could have a whole kit shipped right to my door but the thing is that honestly... the Blitz Kit look awesome (and no one has it around here) but I just don't "dig it" for my ride. The Sensei Kit looks cool but I guy around here has it already and it ain't my taste either. The other kits I've seen (Streetfighter, Buddy Club, Agressor etc...) they look really nice (honestly!, no offense to anyone here) but I just don't like those styles for MY particular Eclipse. emoji Just not my likes...

But then again... I see the Stillen bumper in Kaptain_Mike's car, Spaniard372 & Cucumber's car and I get the feel I am staring at God's face! Face 2 Face ! }> (No I am not exagerating!... It's a feeling I can't describe!)
Anyways... The guys at my nearest shop (2 freaking hours away + the only shop that distributes Stillen in this whole damn Island) said the lowest price he could negotiate for the Bumper is $650... but; I am stuck with a $200 quote of Shipping and Handling !!!!
Hence, the $850.00 :'(

Finally... Kaptain, Thanxs for all the Info ! Hopefully my ride will be setup correctly and once everything is completed I'll post some pics up. Oh... and sorry guys for always taking so looooooooong !!!! emoji

Sincerely,

CY1.

First off, I was going to get the stillen bumper too, but too many ppl have it and its getting palyed out. I am going to get the banshee front bumper which no eclipse's have really. I found two particular popular sites that sell the stillen front fasica for $400 w/o shipping. These are urethane bumpers as well. So, if you like the blitz whole kit just buy the front stillen bumper and buy the rest of the kit of the blitz sideskirts and rear kit.

the site is www.jcwhitney.com, its hard to find go to "S" for stillen and find it there. Or go to www.importhookup.com and look up bodykits and they will lead you into the right direction for the stillen bumper.

Another thing is I want to mesh my stock 97 bumper. My car is as well red as K. Myke's but I want to use black mesh. Do they have black metal mesh at the hardware stores or do I just paint the silver mesh black.

C'mon ppl if you like something, go ahead and buy it. I don't know, what if the next time you see a stillen rolling down the street and the only thing you can do is admire it wishing you had one but restrained yourself from buying it just because you were afraid of playing it out for the rest of the world. LoL heck I might just buy one so I can piss everyone off emoji

Well said Fusion. That's exactly what I had to do when I was picking my car color. A lot of people already had blue, but I figured I am painting it for MYSELF not for other people or to compare to other people, so I got the color that I personally liked. Do what you like...
