#21688, "7" driving lights for Sensei bumper... (all you Sensei's speak up!)"

I used to have Hella 500's, but I wrecked my front bumper and smashed both of em. I never actually got the chance to hook my hellas up, so I never saw how bright there were, but I've heard they are too bright to drive with on and are mainly for off roading.

Okay, so now I am looking for a 7" driving light I can actually use, since I plan on getting projectors and we all know how great those are for vision.

So what 7" driving light are you using, and are they streetable?
Where did you get them and for how much?

I believe the legal limit for road use is 500 candle-watts. I think the Hellas are 500,000 candle watts or something rediculous like that.

Thats why these lights are marked as off-road use.

Cyan,

I found the MAxtels you mentioned for $51.42, are these really bright? Can you drive with these and your headlights on?

yeah, i have maxtels too. but mine are 8 inch. i have mine sitting behind the bumper, so you can't see the rim around the the glass. the glass kinda clips into the hole perfectly. its tight looking., i should get my car back any day now.

yeah the maxtels are nice, only slightly brighter than the stock high beams. but the method they are attached to the bumper, be sure you change teh bulbs to superwhites BEFORE you install them. i did mine later and its a bitch to get the maxtels back out of the sinsei once they are in there. and they must have either dropped the price or youre looking at a different style, cause my maxtels were $135.

I like the look of the sensei bumper. Is it fiberglass or urethane? How much does it cost? How much did you pay to have it painted white to match your cars? My car is white also. Would it look good without side skirts? I'm of limited means. I would really love the bomex kit, but 1300 is a preety chunk of change. I'd have to save up for 3 months just for the kit, let alone getting my car painted so everything matches.
