im assuming that you mean the center middle piece on the back.. if so, its very simple... now its been a while, but i think there is just a couple pop-off plastic pieces.. pop those off, and there are some 10mm bolts that you need to take off... very simple and straight through.. hmm.. now that i think about it, you might have to take off the outside lights first... those are easy too.. just take off the plastic screw holding the back panels on, then just take off the panels, unbolt all the 10mm bolts and unplug the harnesses.. just go back there and poke around for a bit.. you see its pretty simple.

^^what once was^^

^^what is now.. and permanently^^

You don't have to remove the lights just the center panel in trunk. Just pull on it all that is holding it on are some pop tabs on the back of the panel and two on the top so once you have the back loose pull up on each side and waaalaaa. And yes its 10mm to get it out. It seems all most every bolt is 10mm in our cars. All the bolts in the front are 10mm as well. Ok im ramblin...
