#21504, "Best for Tire Shine?"

Hey guys,

I just put on my new tires, ( Toyo Proxies 215/45/17 Zs ) and they look dull. Whats the best way to give them some sort of lasting shine?

Thanks,
Fearless

tire shine isn't good for tires. it's an oil that dries out the rubber. if you go through tires quickly than it's all good otherwise i wouldn't bother, i'd just scrub them with a brush and soapy water. btw they usually have a nice shine to them when they're new.

I have to agree with spaniard372, that shit is bomb. My tires will stay shiny for like 2wks after using that stuff. Plus it just smells so damn good!

I was in trak auto the other day, and they have this stuff called tire tint that comes in different colors (blue, red, green, &silver) and that stuff is pimp. It makes ur tires shinier, and when the light hits it, you can see the colored tint. Looks sweet and is only like 6 bux.

I'll put in another vote for Meguiars. Shit works really well. Just don't go driving your car till its dry'd up a little or you'll have these little black dots all over the place from where the tire dressing flung off. Thats my only complaint though.

i have black magic tire wet in an aerosol can and i LOVE it. Its not a foam either.

Also, No Touch in the purple can at Discount Auto works awesome too.
