when i look through the door from the inside, the glass is in the way so i can't reach the other screw in there. do i really have to pull the window off to take the stupid handle out?

It's a bitch...use a small crescent wrench to get to that last bolt. I took out my window the first time and it still doesn't close right.

No, there is a little ring that slides out, then it just comes off. Kinda like manual window cranks.
