Those incompetent fools still did not have the mesh on. There is a small crack in paint in the inner/driver side mouth (you would never notice unless rite up on it) And the lower mouth itself is dull as hell, so we buffed it at the shop and put that glaze by 3M on it to shine it up. Well I washed it and it's still a little dull.


I am not pleased at all in this experience and unfortunately it will be the last mod on my car for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time. So deal with it. I am so upset over this ordeal and it just frustrated me to no end.

I think this was a wakeup call that I spend too much time/money/effort into this machine. I am going to slow down on posting, not check the board NEAR as frequently...and I will start living my life to its fullest...get out there and meet friends, hang out, and actually have a LIFE. I am tired of coming home broke and just smoking up all my money since I cant afford to go anywheres.

So, I will wait a week or 2 weeks, then remove the bumper and install my mesh since those fools could not do it properly. I will patch up the chips in my interior paint, install my motor mounts, get some new plugs, and redo my brakes, and retint my back window and then I am DONE.......

IF/WHEN the car gets paid off, then we mite see a different turn in Project Stillen. But as of May 1, 2002...it is on hold indefinitely.

This is a neverending battle and I just don't make enough money and with my living on my own its too hard to struggle to make a badass car.


To top it all off? Someone keyed my car on the passenger side. Fortunately, the body shop dood was able to buff 90% of it out. On a side note, he went ahead and buffed out ALL my shitty-halfass pinstriping on the sides of the car, so now i dont have lil black streaks of a pinstripe. That made a BIG difference in the car, i must say.

BODY SHOP GURUS>.... i need ur advice tho...how the fuck can i shine this bumper up? We already wetsanded it at the shop and buffed the hell out of it...but like I said inside the mouth and some on the top outer edge its just shiny like it should be,......help?

im lucky to live on a AF base.. i think it keeps the car safe most of the time.. though my boys car got keyyed up in the plot here.

thats why i want the X.. if something is unpretty i wont mind as much,wont be a big concern

thats too bad to hear, I told my self when I got the car that I would leave it as it was, but that didnt work, as for your paint being dull, sounds like in some of those nooks and cranys they missed it with the clear coat, buffing wont do n e thing to help that much(I think, but I can be wrongz)

I know how you feel man. One day you just realize how much money youve actually spent on your car, but it just doesnt seem like that.

Im pretty content with my car now. I used to get new stereo shit like every 3 months. I was just wasting money. But then, I found something nice (stealthbox) and Im content with it. I havent changed my stereo setup in like 2.5 years.

Save up that money for other things. Maybe make a little fund to set aside for your car.

Im probably done with the exterior of my car. Now im gonna do suspension, and then thats it. Ive said this before, like you, but im pretty serious now. I want to save money for shit i can actually use. I started getting mod crazy when i came to this site. I want to save my money for a down payment for a new car or for a house.

Exactly, the dull parts on where they missed shooting the clear. On my paint, you can easily tell the difference where there is no clear and where there is clear. We didn't shoot clear on the area that the side skirts cover and it looks really dull and totally diffferent. At least you got it back though, and it looks like a decent job at least. Hopefully the paint will stick.

I'd say you have done what you can. If its not shiny still, the clear coat didnt go on right or they missed parts and it will have to be repainted. If you paid a body shop to do it, make them do it again, if you did it yourself, just sand it up and either try to find a place to blend the paint or redo the bumper.. Sucks, but probably what you will have to do..
