#20813, "shaved door handles"

well with my car being in the shop and going though all the body kit nightmares ive been thinking of what else i could do to it. One of my door handles is already broken off and satan wants $177 to fix it with labor, now i was thinking how much does it usually cost to get some shaved door handles with some solenoids? anyone know anything about these?

$50 per door, for a popper kit.

metal plates to fill in holes, then body/smooth/fiberglass etc whatever it out, sand, prime, paint. per door thats about $150-175 each.

(2) $175
(2) $50
(2) $30

'bout $550 roughly.

the handles are alot easier to shave on dsms then other cars.. basically you need to buy a pooper kit (50$) that will interface into your alarm options.. then you just (if your skilled) get some sheet metal, weld it into the door, then start bondo'in away at it till it looks good emoji

haha easier try again it is harder because the door is so curved and it is hard to get that to match perfect. I did my own and it took approx 2 days to get it welded, bondo, and sanded to a point where it looked decent then primed.

slacker is right. our car isnt easy because its curved

well i payed about 200 to have them shaved.. but i got a killer deal for all shaving, molding and paint for 1700
so i dont really count that as 200 u know

and a 30 dollar solinoied, if you have a alarm you can just use that relay to work it, my dumb ass bought a $60 keyless entry thing when i have a alarm sitting in my room oh well.. i used it.

only did one door though..

but no where near 500 bucks.. well with just painting the doors yea.. if you are going to paint the whole car id shave

I love dino and 2gnt. ####ers (my word) bliz stole it but i let him borrow it

Well the cost depends on where you get it done etc. We charge around 400 bucks just for labor for shaving the doors. Most body shops charge around 50 bucks an hour, and even it if takes one day, that's already 400 bucks. Also, a lot of shops can't do it right, where you can still see the outline (especially for people shaving moldings). A lot of cars end up having to get them redone.

I wouldn't doubt it if you can't race anymore.

Never really thought about that but usually they stick to the rules pretty tight.

Ya since it's illegal to have shaved door handles for safety reasons, any real track won't let you race there.

which is retarted. check it

say i had a newer car and wanted to race most of them have them auto locks now that lock you into the car after you drive for a few seconds.

what good is a door handle if the door is locked
either way they are going to break the window..

so i dont know whats the point
