Does Hurricane GS need yours in order to make one? Or can he send me one, and I'll send him back my stock one instead? Also, does $40 cover shipping and labor?

B&M makes a short shifter for our cars. It is way overpriced though. Its like $180 or somethin so that is also why people get Hurricane_GS's shifter. Plus glenn's is actually lower unlike other short shifters which is stock height. And yes you send glenn $40 and he sends you a shifter and instructions. Takes 10 minutes to install and then you send him back your old shifter. Hope that helps.

If you just want the shorter style in height shifter get hurricane's. But if you want actual shorter throw get one like the b&m.. Yes they are a little pricy but you can pick which throw you want either a 35% or the 50%. I have mine set at the 50% one and it's amazing of how much of a difference it is. I also put in the bushing kit... which is highly recommend with either one. I'v used the cut version of our stock shifter and it is really just shorter it doesn't reduce the throw like the b & m does. But it's your car and your money you decide what you want...

Hey All,

I had my stock shifter cut (1.75") and re-welded. It looks and feels Awesome. It's so short. COst me Nothing. A muffler shop welded it for FREE.

I've seen the B&M shifter and they look very nice. But man $160-$180 is a lot for a Short Shifter. I rather spend it on Performance Parts. I also heard that with the B&M Short Shifter it takes a lot more force/energy to shift and in Rush Hour Traffic - your hand/arm will get quite a work-out. But them again. If I was going to get one I get the B&M. Everything else looks Cheap. (Except for the Hurricane because I never seen it).

But my custom Short Shifter w/ Greddy Shift Knob is Awesome. IMO (It's listed in MODS on the Main Page - Custom Short Shifter Part #2)

Thanks,
Mike

The B&M is a great short shifter, and its purty, but not worth the money IMO. I love mine, and it doesnt take any effort to shift. At least your not REACHING to shift up into 1st, 3rd, and 5th lol. Flick of the wrist and you are in gear. But if I had to do it over again I would have went the hurricane_gs way or something along those lines. I paid 150 bucks shipped for my shifter.

Why dont you just drive the 45 minutes over here and pick one up from Glen. He's in Georgia though for a few days.
