#20046, "Is it safe to take off the airbag cover?"
I was wondering if its OK to take off the passenger side airbag cover? I recently painted some interior pieces in black, and I did paint the cover, but I would like to take it off to get nice, even coats on it.

You need to take out your glove box, then look up under there, there are 2 bolts, in plain view, and 2 screws pretty far up in there, take those out, but like they said, take the pos off your battery. You wont acctually be taking the cover off, that will ruin it, taking the airbag out, oh yeah, there is a red wire, with a red plug and a green tab, lift the green tag up and pull the two apart.
