Hey guys, I got that little center piece out, but do you have any tips for me if I am gonna actually remove the center vents, I just need to disconnect that one cable right???

2003 VW GTI 1.8t.. I used to have a 95 Eclipse but well...water sucks.

That was quite a while ago, and sadly I don't remember exactly how it went. I do remember using a wide screwdriver and trying to get at the retaining clips in the lower part of the vent unit. I basically watched Mike take the one out of my car, and then applied the same technique to the one I was removing from the other car.

A factory manual will definitely show how to do it, and the Chiltons might.

You have to tug at it a bit, it doesn't pop right out or anything.

I just pulled on it and pryed it out. It is made pretty good and shouldn't break. If it does, you could pick another one up at a junk yard for a cheap price I assume.
