I have called 9 shops in my area includeing a tuner shop that just got done building a 300HP all motor prelude and none of them will do mirror tint on my silver Eclipse, they all say how does 6 points and a 200 dollar fine sound, I just told them how does me not being your customer sound emoji . Out of all the shops only 1 place said they have a version of the mirror tint that kinda fades to black

Is anyone familiar with this tint?

Would it look good on a silver Eclipse or should I stick with limo?

A shop is giveing me a full blue neon kit and intalling it for free it has 4 tubes front, back, and sides they are installing and giving me it for free because they want to put a pic of my Eclipse next to a bunch of other rice in front of there shop on there website www.firstclassauto.com

I just want to go and get my windows tinted real quick. I will have it droped 3 inches for the picture sitting on 18 inch Verdicts/225/40/18 Yokohama Paradas

Let me know what you guys think would look best..

tia

Silver bleh. I dont think they hae any law on what color tint as long as you can see out of it and it lets a certain percent of light through.

So have you seen this version of mirror tint? What would you personally go with on a silver Eclipse?

Well I have the limo tint at 5%.

There is a silver mazda mx6 with silver tint and it looks ok but kind of childish in a way. I have also seen the silver to black and I dont really like that either.

It seems like way too much just for a freakin window.

FORGET ABOUT IT! that tint is horrendous. we have like 10 cars in syracuse with that crap on it, and it looks horrible. the only car i think it would look good on is a silver talon with a black top. because the way the color fades from black to silver is extreme. if your car is one solid color, that tint is guaranteed to look like shit. i would go with no tint at all, and do your interior up nice.

we have this shop in syracuse called "5 star audio" and they have this machine that costs a fortune, i guess there's only like 5 or 10 in america. it cuts tribal designs, or basically any design that the guy scans into his computer into window tint. i have seen some sick shit come out of there like a car with all black windows with silver graffiti of his car clubs name written on his truck's back window. (no it wasn't vinyl) or this guy had an integ with deep blue tint, and every window (including the ENTIRE windshield) had tribal designs cut into it. it was sharp... especially since he had a white and blue interior that peeked out through the design.

i have platinum tint. i haven't had any problems with cops around here in georgia yet. i have a white 98 and it looks sweet. Just imagine how good it would look on a silver one. I think my tint is about 35percent mirror.

don't feel like typing a list!

If your car is a daily driver, then don't do it. You WILL get pulled over, and most states make you take it off, and then prove you took it off and have an officer sign off on the ticket. As far as i know, ANY mirror tint is illegal in all states. There is just too much reflection and glare witch can blind drivers and cause accidents, believe it or not. If you have a show car or rarely drive it on the streets, then go do it. I guarentee you will get hasseled by the cops. We tint windows here at my shop, and its illegal here in MI to have any tint on the driver and passenger windows. We still do it, and dumb ass kids get it really dark on there, and in a few weeks they are back to take it off, paying us 20 bucks a window to do it. All because they got nailed with it. We tell em that they will get busted, but they don't care. Its all good though, we get more of their money. And IMO, mirror tint looks like ass. Just get some good dark regualar tint, and it will look very nice. Also, check your local laws on tinting, they will tell you what percentage is legal and on what window. Look at it from a cop's perspective. Would you want to walk up to a tricked out car and not be able to see who is in it and what they are doing? I sure wouldn't..But do what YOU want to do, its your car..Just trying to save you some hassle from the popo..

yeah... I would roll your door windows down if you get pulled over too, just so the cop doesn't suspect anything. They don't know if you have a gun or something in there when they can't see you.

The tinting laws are kinda screwy. If you take a close look at the cars/suv's that have tint from the factory, you will notice that NONE of them have tint on the driver and pasenger windows. In most states, its becoming illegal to have any or dark tint on them, mostly for officer safety. Some states let you have 50%, some like here in MI, none at all. Some southern states you can have up to 35%, but the laws are changing all the time. But most laws will state that if the car came with the tint from the factory, it is legal to drive/have. But like i said, you will not find tint on the driver/passenger windows from the factory. Most state laws will let you have darker tint on any other windows, at least 50% at that. Here in MI, we are allowed to have 5%(limo) on any other window besides the driver/passenger. Some may see in my sig pic that i have about 45% on my driver/passenger. All i can say is that i got connections emoji
