ok i finally recived my urathane kit after waiting months and now that i have it and im almost ready to get it installed iam freaking out. First off could someone tell me the process of instaling urathane for example do they have to Prime it, then sand it, then paint it do i just give them the mesh to put on before it mounted or do i do that after? i just like being on the same page as the body shop i hate going in there konwing nothng. And last off is it definatly wise to go ahead and get 2-3 fenders before i get my kit put on? i never realized how far up the fenders the kit goes and i have a really nasty door ding on my fender so i figure that would be a bitch down theline to go back and replace the fenders after the kit ismounted k well if anyone can help calm me down i would apreciateit thanks alot

be SURE they put primer on it, AND the additive that allows the paint to flex. Then wait a day or 24hrs before you install the bumpers after its painted so it dont flake or chip like mine did. I should get my bumper back today after work hopefully after paint job #2.



As for the mesh? I myself dont have mine yet. I am rocking meshless until payday, them imma hit the home depot and buy that thick mesh stuff and take off my bumper and epoxy that shit inside the back of the bumper and put the bumper back on...its all held on by just 4 bolts across the top, one in each top fender screw, two zip ties along the fender sides too on each sides, and also zip ties on the bottom fender corner so they stay attached to the wheel wells. Also I ziptied under each headlite. Its easy to install the front bumper/switch out once you have gotten the stock bumper off for the first time. It is a BITCH to get the stock bumper off the first time. Those headlites are tricky. just make sure you got a reeeeeeeeeeelly long socket extension to get to that last bolt under each headlite...you have to slide the long extension in between the stock bumper and the headlite to loosen it, then remove headlites to get to the last two bolts on the bumper underneath on the main 30mph crumble zone bumper. I left mine on for the stillen , dont know about ur kit personally.... hope all this helps, and the rear is very much the same, just a ton of bolts along the underside of the tails.........

oh and about the z3 fenders, same thing, just sand it down and rough it up a lil and put primer on it, and paint as well, obviously over that. Those shouldnt be too hard, but I know its difficult getting to those last 2 bolts on the bottom in between the doors....you should be able to do all this yourself, just get a shop to paint/prep the parts for you....

front bumper shouldnt be more than just $150-250 to prep/paint
same for rear and sides....as for fenders im assuming $175 per fender.

I have been quoted $175 per panel to shave/repaint/prep my hatch panels from the stock 3pc wing i used to have....
