i am looking to order a CF hood this weekend but dont want to go into it totally blindsided, has anyone else located any good deals and good selection at any certain places? if so please let me know i have heard of to many horror stories with CF hoods thanks

the only thing bad about carbon fiber hoods is, if you don't have hoodpins it can fly up at high speeds, evan had this occur to him, and it sucks. Usually you can get good deals if you get a group buy going.

grrrr i wish people would get the story right,

if didnt fly up at high speeds, if that was the case it would of been gone 2 years ago when i first bought it. my problem was i forgot to latch it down twice. once after a show my friend was all rushing me to go eat and i was packing the car up and i didnt close it, next time i thought i closed it and i guess i didnt.

so the 2nd time it cracked it and split the layers pretty good.. so eventually at a high speed wind got inbetween and took the top layer off.. notice i still had the frame of the hood on my car.

the new hood they sent me is sweet, its a lil heavier but much better made and looks 10 times better them my org fiberimages hood

the latch on both hoods is strong , i bought hood pins will put them in . if i had pins i might of remembered to close them.. thats the thing its not like they would of saved the day.. i could of still forgot.

i wish peeps would just get my story right cuz god knows how many mess it up.

my bad, I never read the full initial post on what happened to you. So as far as I knew it flew up while going fast...sorry man. Thanks for correcting me.
