#19044, "What front bumpers require removal of re-bar?"

Just curious as to which ones you have to remove the reinforcment bar. Im not sure if any, but im in the market and don't want to buy one that requires removal.

Most likely my choice is the strada f1 aka street fyhter emoji

welp, i just yanked my stock front, and the rebar is connected to the bumper itself, not the the frame.. im sure it hooks up w/the two bars that bolt up to the frame that help hold the bumper on..

VIS sensei does not require the removal of the 5mile/hour bumper. Andy's autosport erebuni-styled front requires the front bar to be moddified.

Well from experience:

The andy's combat bomb/, shogun fits perfect with the rebar
The combat (regular) big mouth looking fits with the rebar
The stock 97 fits perfect with the rebar (DUH!)
The aerogear Blitz fits like ass, the actual kits bolts right up....with the rebar off but with it on....uh..........that's part of the reason why my car is still in the body shop (almost 2 months)they're trying to make the rebar fit but it doesn;t look like its going to happen

i have only had experience w/ 2 aftermarket front bumpers: CARisma Blitz and a Japanese bumper (now Erics). Both fit w/ the re-bar.

The re-bar can be modified to fit with a front, and a front can be modified to fit w/ re-bar.

my erebuni shogun fit with teh rebar
my VIS blitz did not
my sinsei did not

btw, the rebar is not the 5mph bumper...the bumper is the 5mph bumper. hit it at 5mph and it flexes back out.

Any of you get hit without your bar on? I imagine it would do some serious engine damage. Thats the only thing holding me back about getting the f1.

Somebody backed into me at about 5 mph and if the rebar wasn't there than you could've kissed my front good bye. take this for example, I got backed into with a honda at 5 mph and i got a tiny stress crack, (not bad at allo, ask Hondahater who bought my old front). I hit Pure RaGe, backing into him at about 5 mph also who had a similar front WITHOUT the rebar and his front got demolished.......soooo....I would try and put that bar on....
