#18513, "How do the windsheildwiper arms come off???"

I took the nut off for the windshield wiper arms and tried to pull them off and nothing and also how do those plastic philips head screws on the corners come off bc they will not screw out...are they just snap plugs like the ones along the inside the engine bay part of the plastic shield? The reason im asking is bc im gonna take that sun faded shield off and paint it silver and paint the wiper arms black bc the paint is chipped pretty bad on them both. If you know how to do this please let me know...THX.

AND THATS A BIG TEN 4!!!

when you take the nut off.. and you pull on the wiper arm pull straight up and dont use too much force. what you are doing is pulling to hard or to the side.
i had a prob when i tried the first time..now its simple.try to pull straight off the screw.

I love dino and 2gnt. ####ers (my word) bliz stole it but i let him borrow it

I couldn't get mine off when I was painting my car no matter how I tried. It seemed really stuck on. The rear was easy to get off.

hey, both of mine are off. undo the nut, and work with it. try turning it and wiggling it or whatever. that nut is all that holds them on. my two were a damn bitch and a half to get off. i had no wd-40 or anything, just my aching hands and some stubborn wipers.

I HAD the same probelm with the front ones. I took the nut off, pulled STRAIGHT up and it wouldent come off. What you need to do, is take some wd-40, spray the bolt, then take a flathead screwdriver put the tip on the top of the bolt and hit the other end with a hammer a few times. Soon the wiper will actually feel likes its loose and then comes of easy. If u hit it a few times and it doesnt come loose, hit it a little harder. Worked for me and they still work fine. Lemme know if this helps!

I got it off and your right you have to wiggle it around a bit and try pulling it from every angle posible. I painted both the cover and the wiper arms. Just did the arms black and i did the shield silver. Looks hot IMO. The only problem I had was I lost one of the pop tabs that fasten the shield down closest to the windshield. So I just went to the dealership and ordered one for like $2.41. So b careful and make sure you get them all and keep close tabs on those suckers. Peace.

yet another common 2gnt problem

same here, it's hard as hell to get em off. i soaked mine in wd40 for 2 days and then tried.

verry hard to do. just wiggle/jiggle or what ever. just keep trying.
it should come off sooner or later
