What about a Viper conversion, they have similar headlights. Would it be illegal to use the racing vipers GT yellow headlights used in the LeMans series? Seems like it would be.

really the reason i want the silvia conversion to is the only thing you have to do is cut the part out on the fender it not that much work and it couldnt cost that much..plus i know a guy that can do it for me its only fiberglass work because im getting z3 fenders..everything else on the bumper line up so there would be no cutting involved on that part..

The Racing Vipers lights are a bright greenish yellow, the cover is that color. I dont think the law enforcement would enjoy yellow lights, unless someone wants to give it a try.

all u would have to do is cut the fenders??? hehe!! dun I wish it was that easy. but first off the curves are not the same.... plus you have to make custom mounts... oh... and what about the way thee hood lines up? it wont sit right on those headlights.... but I guess technicly u could just gut the fenders...and mold them seeing as they are fiberglass... but not to be even more of a pain but I have heard really bad things about fiberglass fenders... like ur front end shakes like crazy, and that it feels like ur bumper is gonna fall off. but anyways if u do just cut them.... u could prolly make them fit... it just wont look clean. but if thats what u want, go for it.

yeah you got to modify the entire front as you would with any conversion. you really think a light that is similiar in shape will bolt in without cutting anything but the fenders? like he said, modded hood, modded front bumper, cut fenders, cut mounts, new wiring.

Yup you gotta modify the hood, fenders, and front bumper, and make mounts. Just to let you konw, we charge about 250 bucks labor just to make solid mounts for custom headlight conversions. Total labor for a headlight conversion is usually around 800. Of course some places will do it way cheaper, and some will do it for way more though.
