I got a blitz kit for my 95 RS and the guy who is doin it has gotten everything on but the front bumper. I think that he cut the front so the lights would fit but he still is havin trouble with it. Is there anything else that needs to be done for it to fit?

Thanks

Actually it depends on the version of the blitz. It can fit with the reinforcement bar (black horizontal bar in case he doesn't know) but it will show through the hole.

Also, he might need to do some minor fiberglass cutting and remolding.

Your rebar was yellow? Mine is black, and it had a white styrofoam piece in front of it which I had to take out. Here's a pic showing the rebar. Mine wasn't a VIS front though so that may be why.

when i put my 97+ front on my car it wouldnt fit with the rebar on. is that normal. i dont think it is. i mean did they change rebars from 95-96 to 97-99? mine was black, btw

cyan, your site says the rebar doesnt do anything and serves no purpose. well i thought the purpose of the rebar is to prevent your engine from coming through the dash into your face in a front-end collision

The rebar is the REAL bumper. The front bumper is just a bumper cover technically (that's what it's really called). The real front bumper is the black bar that goes across the front and is supposed to help absorb the energy in a front end collision. I think that the rebars should have been the same, and you should have been able to keep your's. Try asking others in a new post about it, since many have converted from 95-96 to 97-99 stock bumpers./

Would i need a new re-bar to get it to fit? What does the re-bar do?

The rebar will save your life if you get into an accident... that why i modded my rebar to fit both on the front and the rear... that way if i ever get hit i should still be alive...... i would put the rebar in if i were you.
