the post says it all, it pops really bad on the drivers side what in the world do i do to get rid of the problem WD40 does nothing

does it happen whenever u go over a pothole or somethin like that? i hear a pop like sound comin from the left rear area, dont think its normal eithe

Dude...you might wanna get it looked at.


My dads car (a chrysler, i know, but still applies here) was popping on the driver-side door for over a year...then just about 2 weeks ago the door came off the hinges, and in the process, damaged the exterior near the fender. The body shop said it could have been avoided, if my dad had paid any attention to the door at an earlier date.

Of course, your situation might not be that serious...but its probably worth getting it checked. Just my 2 cents.

check to see if its rubbing your front fender when you open or close it. mine was doing that so i moved the fender forward a little

Mine does the same thing. I was told by a shop that it was something inside the door (forgot exactly what) that needed to be replaced. They said it wouldnt mess up anything just be annoying until I fixed it.

Chances are the window itself is catching the little trim piece up top and not sitting where it should. I used to have the same problem. would get a loud pop sound when i opened the door with the window rolled all the way up. with the window rolled down a little it never made the pop sound. I just took it back to the dealer and they took care of it for free. Dude said they just had to make some small adjusts to get everything to sit correctly again.
