Did you put a clear lacquer over it?
Mine scratched easily the first few days after. Once it dries totally it should be a lot more resistant to scratching.

Well, before you paint anything, sand it down a bit so the paint has something to stick to. Use primer, and dont use wal-mart anything. Do light coats, and do a lot of them, then clearcoat finished product.

I just bought some vinyl paint(I do not remember the brand) from Menards which is just like a HomeDepot. They told me I wouldn't need a clear coat or primer. Should I get some anyway? and would any primer and clear coat do?

did you sand the parts before you painted them? if you didn't than that's your problem. you needed to sand the parts before anything cause satan put stuff into the plastic when it was made to make it slick and easier to clean. sand it smoooooooth, primer, paint, then clear. it'll look great.

i didnt sand mine and I been fine.... the only reason why my shiets chiping is cause i need to do more coats over the doors/kickpanel areas....it's getting bad now , lol it's chipping like a bitch...doh. I just need to go over it again with about 2 more coats then clear coat the white inserts on mine....

i painted mine about three months ago with a kit from folio tech. It a company out of germany and its kind of expensive, but it is worth it. They have a primer spray that u should use first, then you need to apply like two or three coats. They also have a clear coat that u can use. The paint dries in about an hour but it will cure after 24 hours. Mine has never chipped and it still looks the same as when i painted it. This paint is strickly for the interior of your car. They also make a remover if you mess up. It cost a bit ,but you get show quality when your done.

ive used nothing but walmart paint and never had a chip or scratch yet. I used the 87 cent cans of spray paint and then a good clear coat. Y does the paint have to be high quality if its underneath a quality clear coat? Its all preference and opinion and you know the saying about opinions they are like A-holes everyone has one.
