So I was at satan today getting the ball joints replaced and mentioned to them that I couldnt lock my doors anymore because they were stuck. He laughed and told me he had three other eclipse's in there with the same problem and they were taking care of it. He thinks there is going to be a recall about this. So if any of you have this problem call satan or go in and complain about it. Maybe we can get this recall thing going.

hell ya, my lazy a$$ has never cleaned that "goo" off my door sills. she pisses that stuff sumthin fierce in the summer in the 110+heat. gets on my jeans, and ruiins them, wtf.

are you guys taking about the black goo that holds the plastic cover over the door to act like a sound deadenr? we had to rip some off lastnight when we put my poppers in. so we took some plastic off and its gone..
i might just go ahead and take the rest of it off. but i guess my 95 is still good.. aha first year best car ahah.. damn 99s..

Last year when I had the ball joint recall done on my car I asked about the black goo oozing out of my door and they said that it was a common problem. The dealership cleaned it up for free inside and out.
Mitsubishi is known for their lax quality control and I doubt they are planning on doing a recall. But most dealerships know about this problem and will fix it for free.

Yeah, when I first got my car that shit was all over the floor, seats, etc... I took it back and they said they would clean it and replace it. BS!! They said they did but then the bastards just put GREY TAPE to hold plastic on and called it good. And that black crap is still all over inside the door panel. BASTARDS
