#1635, "READ If You Don't Want Your Fiberglass Bumper To Crack/Chip"
Hello all,
I might be setting up a group buy, and wanted to know how many people would be interested in this:
The group buy will be for a 'Front Air Defuser' witch is basically a carbon fiber piece that is bolted to the frame/chassis of the car and protrudes slightly below and in front of your bumper.
If any of you have a fiberglass body kit you know how easy it is to crack/chip the painted fiberglass away by scratching and scraping your front end on the street or driveways. This carbon fiber piece protects your front bumper from being destroyed by daily driving.
The 'Front Air Defuser" is a universal application that can be mounted any way you see fit. The normal price for the piece is $175 + shipping, but I can probably get a better price if more people purchase.
The unit is made of high quality carbon fiber by Fiber Images. If anyone knows Fiber Images, then you know how good the work is. (They make the best carbon fiber hoods/body parts money can buy.)
Here is a picture of what the defuser is and how you might mount it. Keep in mind the carbon fiber piece you see in the picture is not made by Fiber Images but itโs the same type of product. Also remember that you don't have to mount it this way, it's only an example.

well i had the same exact lip on my bumper before i busted it up on the interstate. it was mainly for looks cause it was made frome lexan and painted blue but i had the stainless steel mounts like that silver eclipse does (by the way thats the lime green eclipse from "the fast and furious" movie, lookes better silver huh?) anyway, those lips are about $500 from aero duo, where did you see it for $175 and on another note, a friend once asked me if it was carbon fiber, i always assumed it was but look at the picture. it bends where the bolts are, which carbon shouldnt do and it also looks like aluminum. looks good carbon or not, im interested in getting one for my buddy club bumper but i dont know how it'd look on that bumper http://www.geocities.com/blue2gnt blue2gnt@hotmail.com AOL IM - ThreeRedDiamonds
