if you have a GS (i have seen some RS models with it, however) you may already have an antenna integrated into your hatch glass, above the defroster lines. You may want to check. If so, use that antenna instead of the mast. I am currently doing this (because my mast wire got cut) and my reception is just as good as it always was..

I have an RS and have the antenna in my rear hatch glass, but when I removed my antenna, I lost my reception. I am just thinking about running an antenna wire under my headliner but I don't know. I am planning on shaving my antenna and gas tank lid for a smoother look on the car but I don't know if I will be shaving the door handles cause I have a fear of the compressor going out on the car.

That antenna in the glass does nearly nothing. I have that too, and without the power antenaa, I get really bad reception. Do you have an aftermarket head unit Dino? It might be that your head unit has good reception. Like my a few of my friends with civics with shaved antennas just use the head unit alone, and reception is perfect.
