first disconnect the battery so u dont kill urself. Then take the glovebox out. In order to do that you will see a bolt and a screw holding the little panel to the right of it. Take those out and it should just pop off. Then you need to open the glovebox and on the insides of it there little black panels that hold the little knobs in on the side of the glovebox. They just slide out. now there are two screws that hold the glovebox in, take those out and look up, you should see how to disconnect everything then

make sure you wait a few minutes after you unhook the battery, just in case

yeah, if your gonna put something in there u would need to take the bag out too. I dont know how you would go about doing that, but it shouldnt be too hard. Its not just a panel, the aurbag itself and all its mechanisms are in there too. I plan on painting mine this weekend. Ill probably just tape everything off and paint it in the car.

just something to think about... i think it is illegal to remove airbags from a car. Not like anybody is going to check... I think it is an insurance thing... removing a safety device from a vehicle.

its illegal to do a lot of stuff on your car but everyone takes that chance. some cars arent equipped w/ passenger side airbags so i dont think its really that big of a deal and for the icedout guy... i will be at the mobil 1 import challenge next month on the 8th-10th. i will post up timeslips from there so you can see. hell i'll even try to get someone to videotape it and put the actual video on there. i rebuilt the motor from bottom end to a stage 3 head from westside performance, sprayin a 100 shot, and the car gutted. anyways no more talk for me ill just show you the post up next month. later guys

not only is it illegal, but if you get into an accident and get injured the car company is not liable in certain circumstances.
