fellaz, im a newbie on bodykit/appearance mods, but i got me a kit, and i wanna get it in the proper condition so that i can just bring it to the paint shop and have em blast it with paint and then id install it.

i have no clue what to do first.
the kit is made of fiberglass, i think, and has no mounting holes on it. it also has never been painted or primered, and is rough in some areas.

what kinda steps do i need to take to prep it correctly so that it wont look like azz once its installed.

i have time, so thats not an issue, its just doin it right that is gunna prolly kill me.

Well the first key thing is the install. Figure out where you will drill (usually one on each fender, and the 5 up top under the hood for the front bumper. The rear also needs 3 or 4 screws in the center (it will screw down on metal under the center tailight piece). Side skirts are probably the hardest because your door will hit it, so you will have to move it around a few times before you get it in the right spot. After it's installed, look for flex points. You may need to add fiberglass, and also bondo to smooth it out. In the final step before painting, you have to wet sand the whole thing real good with 400 grit, and then it should be ready to paint.
