#1536, "update on the ASS-ylumms bumper cover (tsunami)"

I had the bumper modified already, what do you guys think I should do?????

Hello,
We do apologize, if you could have an estimate faxed to us we can see what
we can do. At the bottom of our web page on the body kits we do show the
possibility of the front being only for the certain years. We also may be
able to offer a discount on the new projector headlight and the new twin
beam headlights.
Please let us know and we will do all we can to help you the best we can.

Subject: quick question

> I recieved my tsunami style front bumper today for my 96 eclipse and was a little discouraged to find that it was the 97-99 bumper. (differant style headlights.) I included in my order form that it was for a '96 Eclipse. I believe this was a mistake at your warehouse because written in purple marker it says " 95-96 ? Mitsubishi Eclipse Tsunami." There was a question mark written after the year. Sadly to say, I think the question mark probably means that someone was unsure of the year, and shipped me the wrong bumper.
Now my question to you is that since I would never want to pay shipping and handling to and from Colorado again to get the correct bumper, would you somehow reimburse me enough money to have a bodyshop make the small modification to make the headlight slots long enough to accomodate the correct year's headlights? I feel this was not my mistake, I know the correct bumper cover exhists. I just happen to have been sent the
wrong year. The cost of the bumper modification will be lower than the cost of shipping and handling one-way to Colorado. I have been referred to your company by an Eclipse forum on the internet, I just hope that your company's reputation is as good as people have made it out to be. Sincerely,
> Peter Lebied

i'ld say screw the projectors and just try to have them pay you for the modification. They will give you a lower price on the projectors... they just want more business- you wanted a 96 bumper, fabricate it to the 96 bumper but make sure they pay- thats my opinion- if you like the look of the projectors, and you have enought money to get them at a "cheaper" price, then its up to your own taste and preference

Ya try to get at least 50 bucks back from them. Although most businesses are really reluctant to give back money. They might offer "store credit" or as you said, a discount on another part. If you want the projectors, and they will give it to you for under 200 a pair, then go for it.

Tell them to pay for half of the modification fee. If you already paid for it to fit 96 headlights then you will have to pay again so they fit projector headlights(97-99 style). Or get a discount on Altezza's or something.
