#14705, "Center console removal"

Hey all,
I have checked the archives and cannot find anything on how to remove my center console so I can put in my HurricaneGS short shifter and Symborski shift kit. I tried emailing glenn to ask him and he has not replyed. Could some one please tell me how to do this as I do not want to do something wrong.

6 screws to work with. First, pop off the plastic cover that wraps around the stereo and a/c controls. just slide a screwdriver in there and it should pop off. You should see the top 2 screws that hold the console down. The next 2 are underneath the cup holder/ash tray. That pops out too. The last to are at the back of the console...the seats kinda get in the way but theyre there. you have 2 led's to disconnect too, but they are just held in by fasteners...rotate 1/4 a turn and they fall out. that should do it!
