#14608, "Painting Interior"

I've been looking around at all the people's interior work. Man i have to say the red interior is TIGHT.

Anyway, I've been thinking about doint some work on my interior now, i wanna paint my car black, and do my interior some combination of red/black. Dying the carpet and roof black.

I was wondering if you guys could point me to some sites, and help me with soem details of exactly how to do this? One thing i'm thinking is how to get to the top dash near the windsheild and paint that, without getting into the vents.

thanks guys

BTW: I've been wondering about my car, the interior is all gray, but the rooftop carpet is tan? That seem odd to y'all? Everything is the gray except the roof. I found this really weird and was wondering if all of them are like that?

It's a 97 GS

Finally! got my CAI! Next up exhaust as soon as I save enough

I also have a 97 GS and my whole interior is grey and the headliner is light gray but my car is black to begin with. But about the dash I don't know. I just painted all the panels and everything below the dash silver. Now im redoin them not because they are scratched or anything just because i want to sand them down this time. I don't like that textured look they have not being sanded. if your gonna do the panel for the center peice vents is the worst to get out. I have no idea why they attached the vent arm to that roller inside on the 97's but not the 99's must have wised up.

mine doesnt look textured at all. just use a LOT of masking tape and newspapers and tape up your entire windsheild and pillars...cover the steering wheel with a tshirt, remove dash inserts, cover HVAC controls with pieces of paper and tape, etc. Thats the longest step in doing the whole thing. Spray the shit outta it. your done.

easy.

dont dye ur headliner... just use some felt and high temp spray adhesive and do it that way its simple..

most headliners are that tan color.. do a search on the headliner.
