Welp, I am now halfway there. Finished up what I fucked up last week, haha. Still need to do the dash one more time (to make sure it will set in and stay properly), then fix the oversray on the seats, and start on the rear 1/4 panels.... what do you think?

I dyed the carpet with carpet dye. (it was BITCH) YES< I did it while the carpet was still inside the car...haha. Sorry, I had WAY too much shit to do today, kinda in a rush. Overall, the best part that turned out was the carpet. Looks really nice, just a little stiff though, but hey...it IS carpet.

hey look! a neighbor 2gnt!

damn mike... good i$h! i have to be honest, i'm really skeptical about out of the ordinary colors for the dash, but i think your's looks decent. what i REALLY like about your setup was that 1. you did your headliner, and 2. the dash isn't all shiny. i REALLY hate that. GREAT JOB THOUGH! way to not quit (cuz it wasn't looking all that good at first, but it came out nice).

Looks really good but what kind of paint did you use on the dash and panels and where did you get it because I am really thinking of doing my car myself instead of paying someone.

The paint was $6/can vinyl spray (PlastiKote) its high-temp so I shouldnt have to worry about the hot summer sun.

The carpet was done with some no name carpet/fabric dye that my mom gave me from like a "Joannes" sewing store type place. it was a spray in a can. I used two cans.

The dash isnt shiny cause I didnt use any clear coat. hoever on the white pieces after I shoot a few more cans of white over that I will clearcoat those.

One thing though...it is HARD AS HELL to paint the doors for some reason. You HAVE to spray very VERY thin and far away to make it look nice and even. Yes, you waste a lot of paint out of your can but that is the only way it will not run or look messed up. I almost ruined my passenger door that way. I learned when doing the drivers side to spray very fine and far away.

Yes, I did evreything while it was still inside the car. It looks amazing in person, the pics do not justify it. Now I need to do the rear.

I will prolly go crazy and all-out and do the inside of the trunk/hatch as well. Whole entire car will have black floor, red roof, red walls, white inserts. I ordered a white shift boot and a red knob. Im finding pieces to paint white not so I can have a little more contrast and less red, since like 90% of the car is all red.

Thanks for the idea 550. I mite do that by making the lower part white....I like all red though with minor white accents...makes the car look cleaner, imo. But i will defintely keep that in mind though.

Also, on a side note, I ordered a white shift boot for $5 online and should get it in 3-4 days from some dood on ebay. Also, getting a red ball shift knob, so that little touch will add flava to the whole thing as well. I was gonna do the rear part of the car today, but i was out drinking too much last night and said fak it, today is my "recovery" day haha. Thanks for all the feedback guys... I should be getting some red/white seat covers soon too, since the only thing standing out now is those ugleee stock grey seats. I got alot of the oversrpay off the seats now with some paint thinner and real LIGHT dabs of it to get the oversray off. Wasnt hard at all. Keep in mind I did not sand anything down or prep really, just cleaned the hell out of everything real good with antibacterial wash and soap/spray with rags and brillo pad sponges...the paint sticks really well. I have been trying to chip paint with my fingernails, and so far so good, nothings cracking or peeling. I need to redo my window cranks and door handles though, from my hands and greasy fingerprints...since I did not spray very much paint on those areas. Most of the work left over now is just touch up work, besides starting on the rear interior now. When everything is done up nice, I will start doing a little more white accents, in the doors and such, like the speaker covers and a few parts where the armrests are...right now ALL RED is the base for my "design" you could say...get the main parts painted first. It's a slow steady process gents...but if you take your time and put up with halfway done parts, primered pieces here and there, missing parts etc its WELL worth it when its all said and done with. Very time consuming but worth it in the long run....Any other questions lemme know....

CYAN: Is your headliner done yet? I assume so, since everyting in your car has been done up nice...I was just curious, since that may be the only thing you havent done yet? *Curious.

I left my top dash black. Stock. The lower is silver. I like the look of the contrast, BUT, the dash lines up flush with the doors in some spots, then might not coordinate. Depends on your style/patterns.

I really like what you've done. The idea of changing interior colors has always been cool, ive just thought it'd be too much work..Plus I have tan leather seats.....

My dash is black, my lower is tan, and my seats are tan. I have all my interior piieces painted to match the car already (With the exact paint color)...if I painted my lower tan half to match my cars color....would the tan contrast too much? I need to take some pics to get good opinions..
