I hate black cars. Don't get me wrong they looked good as hell when you clean it everyday, but every time I clean it I find new scratches I gotta be when I dry it I scratch it more. My question is what is the best way to clean your black car with out having scratches everywhere?

I have a white car cause I didn't wanna go through whats happening to you, but I find the best way to clean your car or to keep it clean instead is to use a California Duster, they work wonders. IT was the best ten dollars I've spent on my ca hope this helps.
I use to have a White 99 GS Sport with a Star Stage II Ball Bearing T3/T4 turbo...it was fun untill....well those who remember me know Oh Ya...this is what I have now... a 99' GSX...

No doubt about it. You pay the price for driving something that'll turn heads when clean. They key to avoiding visible surface scratches is pretty easy though and it's sort of a good thing. You must keep a solid layer of wax on your car. That of course means waxing (several layers), but it also means washing your car correctly.
When I say washing it "correctly," I mean using gentle washing agents and nothing abrasive on the finish. You really shouldn't use those automatic cleaners unless you fully realize how quickly it'll remove the layers of wax you have on your car. It's simply unavoidable in my climate not to use an auto wash once in awhile, but then I understand that it's taking the wax finish off my car that much quicker.
In the spring/summertime/fall is when it counts anyhow in my book. Then my car is ALWAYS clean and washed "correctly." That means, hand washing and plenty of wax. And absolutely lots of dusting with a clean cotton cloth (or the duster mentioned above)!

It never scatches the roof of my Talon, AND the cali duster is good too. I'm kinda sick with it though, I wipe my car with a 100% terry cloth with a hint of wax every other day. At 1st I pulled some serious dirt in small cracks for the 1st 4 or 5 days but now my terry cloth lifts just a bit of dust, so the wax has definitely done it's job. BTW I use Mcguires.

i use the california car duster which is great for keeping dust and dirt off the paint between washed and is great for the interior too. i dry the car with a synthetic shammy (its called the absorber) it works better than the natural shammy i used to have and it was also cheaper. i only wish the owner before me did the same thing =(

All good tips. I'll add one. Use two buckets of water. One with soap and water and the other just water. when you rinse off your spong do it in the w\bucket with water then dip it back into the soapy bucket to get soap to clean. Then you are never using dirty water to clean the car

say that black cars suck again and i will smack your lip !! lol my car is 3 years old and besides the one nic in the paint its fine !! wax yes is very important ..and a brush free car wash also helps ..but the most important thing is when u are drying or removing wax ! the cloth u use should be of soft material and completely non abrasive.. thats the key .. i have swirl marks like anyone else..they are unavoidable .. just make sure u dont make them look deep and you will be fine !! oh i have a pic of my nic here look its right behind the door u like that wheel well right ..how about those styling, rusted drums?
