I just painted my calipers this past weekend and let me tell you is not fun. i know vegasdsm didn't took out the caliper, but i did, i thought it was going to be better, well it was and wasn't, first time painting stuff so it was ok.

the only thing i can tell you clean them real good, pianting them is easy, cleaning them is not, take your time and clean them really good.

what kind of paint did you use?? I have thought about it, and suggestions for my color of car? I was thinking black...

use 1200 degree paint, u dont want the 500 degree paint burnin off, and gettin all over your brakes.

ya, the labor is the shitty part. i did mine durin my spring install.

lemme know if there was anything that i could have included on my site that would have helped u more durin the process.

Agreed Pancito, painting the calipers yourself is VERY labor intensive. But the results are definitly worth it. Last time I painted my calipers on my GS, it took around six hours because I wanted to do them right. I personally would recommend the 2 component caliper paint consisting of the paint and hardener. When fully cured, it gives a glazed look, extremely hot. I just bought the Foliatec caliper kit for the GSX and am not looking forward to he process again, what people do for their cars...

Where did you get the hardener?? i didn't know exactly what kind of paint to use so i used ford hi temp red paint it's holding on good. but i need to do my back still and i could try this and see the difference.. to me they look cool, but still on the conservative side.

Black or Silver would be nice with your car but if you want them to stand out I say Lime green or maybe yellow.

Now what color should I paint mine. I have the stock green color. I don't want yellow because my school colors are green and gold I don't want a school sprit car.

Red looks good with practically any color. I painted my calipers red and it looks great.
