For the money you put into the paint and bumpers, why didnt you get yourself a set of side skirts too? Looks good, but with the skirts it would look a hell of alot better, just my opinion.

Ok here's the scoop!!!! I have side skirts and a wings west commando wing!!!!!!! They are both painted... these pics i posted was the car right after it was painted.... Nothing has been assembled back together.... I will post pics when she is assembled... As for what i paid. I paid 2500.00 for the complete paint job..... It's almost stock cayanee red color but there was more pearl added so it is really a custom color. He had to mix extra paint for me in case anything happens so i can match it up perfect.......It's PPG paint so it is very good quality..... 1 primer coat 2 color and 2 clear... The body work and kit install ran me about 750. That was including shaving the antenna and filling the three piece wing holes. Fixing some crease's and dents in the body too. also relocating both the front and rear bumpers. And some serious fixing of a F*#ked up kit that wouldn't even fit. My boy cut me a serious deal for the amount of work he put into this.... The wait has been more than worth it.
Thanks for all of the comments.... if there is any other question feel free to ask........

Cool, it looks real nice and shiny. Wait til you buff it out...Hey was your car originally cayenne red? If so, you probably didn't have to paint the engine bay or door jams then?

What kind of pearl did you add to it? Are you sure they used 2 base and 2 clear coats? We usually use 4 base and 3 clear coats. I'm not sure what the standard is for that...

i'm assuming that they put 2 and 2. Not exactly sure but i'll talk to him tomorrow and find out for sure. Yeah the original color was cayenne red. so it worked out perfect didn't have to paint the jambs and eng. bay. He said he added more copper and another pearl.(forgot which one) The paint had the two pearls in it but he mixed up a batch with more pearl in it and it changed the color slightly.. It was what i wanted him to do. I wanted a close to stock so i didn't have to paint jambs and eng. The first thing my brother and my boyz said was how nicer and different the color was compared to the orig stock color.... Yeah i can't wait for them to rub it out and polish it... it will be even shinyer...... i was very pleased... and the price was great compared to other shops and the area i live in. It was also a friend of a friend who hooked me up... everything out here in NJ and NYC are madd expensive compared to cali and down south... I know cause when i lived out in cali.... I luv it here in NJ/NYC but i miss cali roads and the women......

Hehe you're very wise...it's so much less of a hassle to not have to redo the jams and engine bay. I guess body work out there can get expensive, but socal shops also charge a lot when they get big headed. Some shops went for 2000 for a paint job up to 3000+ in the past couple years. For what you got done, we'd probably charge about 2000.

Hey i talked to my buddy and he said they put 4 color and 3 clear on the car... The only thing is that i'm waiting to put the side skirts on... i got the recall on ball joints so i'm going to bring it up and get it done before i put the skirts on.... Hopefully they don't give me a problem with it cause of the kit... It was rubbed out and polished today and looks even more like glass..... can't wait to see the heads turning when i drive down the road...hehe

i got the first gen blitz i think.... i'll post pics when everything is on.. but won't be till i get this recall done... The reason i didn't mold the sideskirts on is cause i don;t want my shit to crack... you run into having your shit crack if you mold it... It's not a question on weather it will it is when will it happen cause it will happen sooner or later....... Ask any body shop that deals with fiber glass and they will agree with me.....

Yup IT WILL crack, especially if you have to jack up your car. Like if a shop tries to jack it up using a lift, it can bend the skirt and crack. It looks real nice molded in, but most people will crack it one way or another...
