Sup everyone. Right now I am in the process of making a fiberglass hood for my car. The Aftermarket ones are nice but I like the look of the stock ones. The carbon fiber ones look like the stock ones but with the paint scheme of my car, it would be pointless to buy one so I am making a fiberglass one. Just thought I would post this and see what everyone thought about it.

Ok alright. I'll have to see about making custom hoods so that i can sell them at AWESOME deals for everyone. The only problem is getting that hump out of the hood for people who don't want it. I'll make mine and tell everyone what it looks like and I'll take some pictures of the finished product so that everyone can see it.

i want a double hump hood.. rick is my idol ahah..

or one with some cut outs.. i could get a lexan window in there.. oh cool..

The most annoying thing about fiberglass is the sheets can get into your skin, and it smells really bad when the resin is drying. It's also toxic, so be careful. I have access to unlimited fiberglass and resin, but I'm too lazy to try to make something myself...

yeah it'll hella cheaper than carbon fiber and you can paint it to match your car. I am using my hood as a mold for the first one(mine) and then i will see if i can start making custom ones incase someone wants one without the bump in the hood. is that what you are referring to as the hood scoop? evan is going to draw one for himself and after i get the design and make it, burning the drawing so that he will be the only one with that hood and i won't make it again. "Custom Made" in my opinion means something that no one else has. then the is "Custom" which a few people have done.

well chris how much would u charge for a hoood like that..cuz i kinda wanted to get a hoood asap u know.. once the tax money come.. though for the right price i might wait..

Wow that's a crazy good deal for something custom. You know how much labor it will take though right? If only I had more time to do things myself. I might get a cf hood when we start making em for the eclipse...

more than likely it's not going to take me as long as i think it will. i was being sarcastic about the "fun" part. the only hard thing about it is the underside, making the frame to put around the whole thing.
