Quick question for anyone that knows anything about carbon fiber hoods, ok I just got a new carbon fiber hood and on the edges it has started to become all hazy. I have been told many of times that it just needs to be buffed out and everything will look perfect, question is how do you do this, can you just take a buffer to it or is there a special way to do it or do I actually have to take it to someone? Thanx for any information.

I would just try buffing it with the right polishing compound first. If that doesn't work, you can try wet sanding and then buffing it. But be careful. In the worst case, you will have to get a layer of clear coat sprayed over it, as some of the cheaper cf hoods are hopeless and will be a nasty finish no matter what.
