I will be placing it in my car when i wait a while for it to dry a lil. But here are the pics... Im wondering if those dark spots from the spray adhesive will go away when they dry. I mite be able to just wipe it down too when it's dry. Oh well. It was my first attempt. I got no wrinkles, no weird areas, etc. I did it very well, actually, with the exception of the wet spots from the glue. I also painted my side pillars red while I was at it. Lemme know what you think.

It's a BITCH to do it when you got a sunroof. Jeeez. I thought evan had a sunroof when he told me all this shizzzo. haha oh well.... pimpin interior alert!

what a huge difference this made. cost me maybe $15 tops in materials. One small thing though...I cant figure out how to put the sunroof cover sldier thingy back in...its a bitch...any ideas?

here's the part that I cant put back in....any help is appreciated...it uses some type of slider track, and the back piece fits on top of the rear of the front piece I think.

i forgot to mention that the wet spots did go away eventually...it was just the glue and had to dry a bit. tia i can post a write up if anyone's interested...i gave most of the details to vegasdsmer so he mite do one before I get a chance to....

Same thing happend to me.

The best way to do it is to actually take your sunroof off and put it on from the top since the pieces are spring loaded.

hey man, looks good. I think i man have to start on my interior a little more. Did you use vinyl or what? and just 3M spray adhevise?

wal-mart fabric...2 yds of it... $1.19 per yd, lol. and a LOT of elmer's adhesive spray. so far it appears it will stay. if not, next time i will use high-temp adhesive spray.

yes go to an auto store and get some high temp stuff. i got stuff made for headliners and used that..

spray on both sides of fabric and just lay on top and smooth out and do lil by lil..

have some overlap so u can wrap it over the edges..

dont worry the molding will cover it all up

he's right, everything he jess said. So far mine's holding up great. Actually, before I had a couple of "loose" spots, but it all seems to have stuck itself into place now. Looks very nice and semi-professional. There are a few problem areas, but it's my car, and like DrBalazo said in another post elsewhere, "you always know what is wrong with ur car" etc so I will probably redo it since this was my first time. Overall mission was a complete success.

When you recovered the headliner, did you remove the factory cloth? Or just glue over it...?

I just redid my nastyass sunroof cover. Red. Pretty.. going to do the headliner in black, to go with the black carpet, and do the door inserts in red when i finally paint the interior.. pimp.

yes dino just place the fabric over the existing headliner material.

that is what i did..and i was the one who told mikey how to do his.

just spray both sides let the glue get sticty then bond them together.. lil by lil

try to get some stuff made for saggin headliners..

the kind i had u had to let is sit for a min then stick together but it didnt come out all wet and gooey.. almost solid..

Just wondering about the headliner.. Seems to me it's work better if you removed the existing liner.. keeping it on just gives you two places for the glue to fail. Oh well.. easier that way..

yes u should do it over the stock one. the stock one is one there pretty good, mang. i even tryed to unstick some of the stock and said fuck it cause it was on good. you need a stiff surface anyways to keep the shape and form. the only trouble areas was doing the area around the humps of the visors. imma redo it again this time to make it perfect. it was my first time after all. I need to get some of that 3M stuff your talking about dino. Imma try that. It so far seems to be staying in place fine. I will redo it though before I get a chance to test it out. Im too busy right now thought figuring out about an alarm system and replacing my stereo shiz....so i will make a writeup next time with detailed step by step pics when I redo it. tia
