Thanks Sean, how hard was it to take off the caliper? Am I right in assuming that once you have the caliper off, you can easily change the brake pads? Anyone have a write up on how to change brake pads? Thanks.

and, no problem...

804- easy to take off, 4 bolts. 17mm in front, and 14mm in back.
to change pads, just take out the old ones, put in new ones, then press the caliper cirle thingy back into the hole.

whenever u take off your pads tho, make sure u prime the brakes before driving, meaning, pump the pedal like 10-15 times before moving the car.

if u need more info, let me know, as i will be happy to share from my experience.

Is there any special tools required to actually take out the pad and snap it back in? I think autozone rents some sort of brake change tool, but I wasn't sure what it was for exactly. Thanks.

The tool is to push the caliper piston back into place. You can just use some ghetto rigged tool to push it in so that the pads fit into place.

Its a piece of cake 804. Im a retard and I can do it.

i bought a pipe wrench, that opens like 4 or 5 inches. once u have the caliper off the mounting bracket, you will see the hole in the middle of the caliper. use that to stick one side of the wrench through , and then the other side goes on the backside of the caliper. i put a long extension across the circle thingie inside the caliper to apply even force on it while pressing it back in.

i didnt have anyspecial tools to take them off, i just had to buy that wrench to get the pads on.

the old pads are held on by clips, u might have to press down on them so that they will allow the pad to be released. i found that it was easier to remove the pads by taking the mounting bracket off as well as the caliper.

once u put the new pads on, u need to make sure that the metal clip that is on one of the two pads, faces towards the engine. that is the part that will squeel when your pads are about shot.

Thanks for the info guys. Just thought of something though. I also need my rotors resurfaced. How hard is it to take off the rotors myself? Do I need to remove the studs too? THanks!
