I wanna get them as tight as I can without molding. So, does the body shop need to put screws in the bottom? How about the door jams? They have to put screws there too? Let me know how this works.

Well you dirll holes in the side/bottom and than on the bottom. Also you drill in the fenders and Im sure they will make 1 or 2 holes on the side of your car.

make the wholes with a drill and then use a ribbet gun and ribbet the skirts. Make sure that the ribbets sink in a little past the surface of the skirt so u can fill it with marglass and bondo. ribbets will never come off untill you want them to. worked for me..hope it helps

I miss you mom, you are always with me RIP...

Actually 9D9 has the blitz type 2's. With the type 2's you don't need to drill into the side of the car at all, or use any rivets. The skirt should line up nearly perfect with the body of the car. You use two or three screws in the door jams (screws should not be visible when your door is closed). Then two screws inside each fender well where the tire is. So when you're done installing, it should have no visible screws unless you look in the tire wells. I would not recommend you try to drill holes in the skirts near the vents and try to attach is securely to the car. Then you'd have to fiberglass and bondo over that, and it may crack. And then you could never take it off if you did fiberglass over the screw. It takes a bit of trial and error to get the type 2's to fit right though, and maybe a little bondo work on the edges to make it line up with the body right.

what about shows when the doors may be open? Can the screws be concealed easily?

You can't really hide it. You could paint the screws, but they would chip off once you try to unscrew it or screw it on. Or I guess you could take out the screws and just leave holes when your'e at a show.
