what's the difference between fiberglass and urethane??? other than the price... is one really better than the other or what??

Both have their pros and cons. One of course as you mentioned is the price difference. Fiberglass is cheaper but it is not as strong as the poly urathane. But then you get in to the two types of fiberglass, there is shitty fiberglass and then there is the good fiberglass. Fiberglass is easier to fix if it does get cracked. The poly urathane is stronger but is harder to fix if for some reason it does crack. Poly urathane while it doesn't crack as easily when you ground out it some times tends to crack the paint and if not fixed the paint will chip off.
