#105604, "High beam indicator light not working?"

Hello guys, having a little problem here. My blue high beam indicator light on the instrument cluster doesn't work. It hasn't worked during the whole 3 years the car has been in the family, but now we'd like to get that fixed. Any ideas where the problem could be?

-Bulb has been changed (no effect)
-Lights work otherwise 100% as they should (I can turn the high beams on and off without problems)
-The lights have been rewired thru a relay system (original wires only give signal to relays which feed the lights with straight-up battery power), but this hasn't had an effect (did this 2 years ago, indicator didn't work even before this)

Can anybody tell me which pin behind the instrument cluster is it that should convey the signal to the indicator? That way I could test if the problem is in the connections inside the instrument cluster.
Or can it be the bulb "base" that is faulty? (the small grey part that the bulb is plugged in before it can be screwed to the cluster, don't know the English name for it.)

I searched but couldn't find a suitable topic. If anybody else has had the same problem please tell me.

The high-beam indicator bulb is negative-switched meaning the bulb should always have power anytime the headlight switch is turned on. However, in order for the high-beam indicator bulb to actually illuminate it must see a ground connection through the high-beam selector in the stalk switch.

Power for the high-beam indicator bulb comes from dedicated fuse #7 (10A) and should be under the hood.

It is very difficult to work on the cluster itself since you can't get to the rear circuits when it is plugged in to test with a VOM. With the cluster removed you want to find connector C-05. PIN 30 should show 12-volts when the headlight switch is on. Pin #21 should show ground only when the high-beam switch is on.

This car is a '95 (sorry, forgot to mention). Are the pins the same as in 97-99?

VERY useful information, thanks! I'll keep you updated if we are able to solve the problem. At the moment we have -22 degrees Celsius outside though, so gotta wait for a chance to get the car in a warm garage.

I've never seen a 2G that differed from that layout but I didn't specifically go through each service manual.

Also note: I got the location of fuse #7 wrong but I corrected the mistake in my original post. It is under the hood. Check that first.

Sorry about the cold...it's close to 23C here in Phoenix today...ran the A/C for a bit when I went to lunch.
