i am looking for a way to modify the interior of the 96 GS, i do not want to spend a whole lot of money to change the seat color so i would like to get peoples input on what i can do to make the interior of the car look better while keeping the stock grey scheme; what little things can i paint!

the outside color of the car is a midnight pearl blue!

I guess I am kind of confused, its all about what you are going for. You looking for seat covers or a nice set of racing seats? If you can find a part out car with leather seats I think that looks the best. You want to keep the grey interior but upgrade it? A common practice is painting a lot of the interior (like dash and door panels) black. You can always throw on a shift knob, shift boot, and steering wheel.

I am redoing my interior(very slowly, bottom of the list in priorities) but with a CF/black theme. Have a CF sticker on the inside of the gauge cluster. CF shift boot ($30 off ebay) and redid my sun visors to CF. Eventually I am going to paint the interior black... one day,as I said before, bottom of my priority list.

yeah i am looking to do painting to the interior, painting the simple things like the AC knobs cover and parts of the door pannel. ill probably get a new boot too but i just want input/ideas and or pictures on a black/grey color scheme that would make the interior look nice without having that rice look

this in the interior of the car with the front AC unit cover painted, and the coin try painted. i have a black shift boot on the way, i have two seat covers in mind, either a straight black one or a black and grey comb. i am leaning towards the black and grey. i was thinking that i paint the uplifted area around the shift boot a metallic silver, like the top of the shift knob or the pedals. any ideas on what else i can paint/colors and or input on the seats?

I had the same idea in my 95 I painted my shift boot knob ashtray cupholder middle console and that piece that goes over you a/c controls and deck i did the whole piece from the dash down with a half can of black and not even a half can of red if you wanted to go all black it should only take about one can of enamel for plastic its cheap and looks awesome that and leather seats

this is what i decided to go with... stripped everything down and sanded it, put two layers of primer, 3 layers of white finish and then 3 layers of clear coat. i love the way it came out!

Not too bad.. i like it:D I didnt do much to the interior of my car in the line of painting and replacing parts, but i got red led strips on both front floorboards, red mirror lights, blue guage cluster. mostly just the cheap junk that looks sweet at night. After seeing that, I think I might take a day soon and clean/paint my interior plastic. What colors you think would look good with red car/grey interior?

you may be able to get away with a cherry red instead of the white, imo the white is the best color with the stock interior but its about what you like, repainting it is not really a problem so try painting something like your AC knob cover and see if you like it!
