Could this be as easy as a fuse? The cluster works perfect, all gauges are good, it just doesn't light up when the headlights are on. Any thoughts?

Do any of the other illumination lights work? Cigarette lighter? HVAC knobs? If there is 100% no illumination, check for a fuse. If the problem exists in the cluster only, pull the assembly out and look for possible bad connections on the back of the cluster. If I recall, there are two or three sockets were all connections are made that the cluster fits into.

I think its all the same fuse IIRC.

However, there is only one or two +/- connections for the lights, so one of those is probably bad.

Im on my phone now, but look on Tuners for the LED cluster project. There is a picture of the lighting leads. If not I will find it tomorrow.

CEL, brake, oil, etc still light up correct?

Yup, they all light up fine too. I guess it's possible the bulbs just burned out, but it seems unlikely, heh

Then its most likely the lighting. There is one or two traces that controls illumination only. Ill find the pic tomorrow if you dont first.
