#104614, "Air bag controller"

I bought another DSM, 95 GS Eclipse. Both air bags have been deployed. I am looking for some advice on what besides the air bags and senors (the two in the subframe up front) needs to be released? I have been told by the dealer that I need to also replace the clock spring under the steering wheel air bag and the air bag controller. Does anyone have any knowledge that could help out here. I did a search but could not find the answers I was looking for.
Thanks......kjwillia

As far as i know and i could be wrong, all you have to replace is the airbags and reset the Airbag ECU.

I recall reading about this years ago, that only the dealer could reset the air bag ecu, unlike with obd2 codes that can be reset with a scanner or by resetting the computer. The cost was $60-80 just for the service.

Curious about this because my SRS light just lit up today, for no apparent reason.
