My driver's door has dent just below the mirror. How can I pop this out without buying another door.

Attachment is the only pic I have at the moment. I'll post up another soon.

It doesn't look like it's just a smooth concave dent, about your only hope is a hammer and dolly IMO. Cheap, about $30 worth of tools and a spot paint. Take your time with it, youd be surprised how close you can get it with a hammer and dolly then a skim coat and paint.

Better picture of the Dent.

That scratch you see Happend 20 minutes before I gave my 2g wash snap these pics.

This local Discount Tire in Alliance, are a-holes. The owner was an alright guy but gawd Damn, wtf. Some punk tech took an IMpact a n ran across my driver's door from fender to back fender.

I was happy, hosed my car done for a mini shoot. Before another storm hits and got these lock lugs off so I can start doing my atx flush etc.

I'm so pissed now. I know the scrathes can be removed I worked at a Dealer seen same type of marks removed by very thin wet sand/buffed.

This is the type of reason I prefer to do everything on my own. I'm so feed up with these type of mom/pop shops.

Here's the carnage, grrr..

Why isn't Discount Tire paying for the paint repair?

So how exactly did the dent and scratches happen? You said that discount caused the scratch right? what caused the dent? did that happen at the same time?

Dent was there when I bought it. The guy who I bought it said, it was his daughter's and some guy kicked it. Interior was smoke free and like new.

I notice the scratch, when I went to the car wash. An hour later, and shop was closed by then.

I'm calling the owner, in the morning and making a complaint. While I was in his shop waiting he mention he has his Best crew working that day. What a crock of S@$#.

I've had the best service, from MAttern Tire from Cadiz,Oh. 2 hour drive from Alliance. Owner of this shop, is know for high quailty qork @ low rate. He even sponsor's a local car show every year same time during the Shoot Out. Is very familar with the 420a/4g63's and built an awd Talon from ground for his son. The son didn't so the father offered me the talon for 3600. While back when I had my 1997 gs being worked on for the timing/waterpummp.

I recommend for you guys to Avoid this shop, if you pass through or visit here.

Note: This Discount Tire isn't affilated with the Website.

with work like that being done i would plan to never take any car back there again, and since id have no concern for a long term relationship with this shop as far as service work or maintenance goes, id get all i could out of them for repair, even that dent. id be there first thing tomorrow and raise some havoc. the only problem is youve left the shop already with no real proof that was caused while in their shop. good reputable shops will actually walk around the car with the customer and write down all damage to the car before any service is done for times like this.

Babbz, That scratch wasn't there when I bought my car. Two days ago.

oh i dont question whether or not the scratch was there or not 2 days ago. i believe you. you said you noticed the scratch an hour later after the shop was closed. so im assuming you plan to go there and say something. im saying from a shops point of view that they might pull the ol "how am i supposed to know that happened from us" type deal or "why didnt ya say something before ya left, hell its on the drivers side, howd ya miss it?!"

Perhaps not, but you didn't make note of it until AFTER you left the shop. Unfortunately you're hosed and they don't have to do anything about it.

This is a situation where the burden of proof is on you if you want any recourse and because you didn't bring the scratch to the attention of the management BEFORE you left the shop you have no real proof that it happened there.

Actually, I can prove it. I have pics from the car's posting on craigslist and the previous owner can also verify it also.

I called the owner yesterday morning. Told him what happend, he told me. exactly what you said.

He told me he'd more than happy to fix it, that if we caused it.

But, then I made it clear to him that I've had worked done by them years ago from my marriage, my inlaws, and family recommended me to them. The work was tires only, since it was only a tire shop. We' never had any problems till I brought in my eclipse.

He was lost for words after I told him, more like choked abit. I bet that tech. recieved a wrote up about this.
