I was bored so I painted some parts, not really sure if I like the heat shield.
Right now I am in the process of pulling my head for a rebuild and I left the tools in my other car so I thought I would paint for now.
I am going to sand down the bolts tonight for the heat
shield and paint them black no point in buying new bolts. i'll get better pics later. I don't think I will need the heat shield because
I looking to buy some 4-2-1 headers later on.

The TB looks nice, however, I would suggest buying some paint stripper and redoing that heat shield a black or grey cuz that red or orange whatever it is looks, well, not very nice.

If you are painting any engine components, make sure you use engine enamel or other high temperature capable paint. If you painted the TB with engine enamel, I suggest you bake it in the oven at 300F for an hour or so (remove sensors first). That will cure the paint somewhat before installation. If you don't cure ahead of time, the paint will soften as the engine heats up. Dust and bugs will stick to the soft paint while you are driving. After a while, the paint will cure hard with the dust and bugs stuck in it.

^^^Yes, do what Corbin said. Another reason to cure the paint in the oven is to prevent smudging of the paint. Before the engine paint is cured it's extremely weak against cleaners like brakleen and other degreasers. Once it's cured you don't need to worry about using cleaners on the paint

I would of painted the throttle body like a dark blue or something.
My whole goal on the engine color is to attract the eye to key points under my hood like turbo intake manifold etc.

Turbo intake manifold? If you mean the turbo exhaust manifold, that will probably burn off. Very quickly.

Oh. Well, Punctuation is the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off his horse" and "I helped my uncle jack off his horse" In any event, I still don't think you can paint the hot side of the turbo.

You can paint it. But it won't last.
