had various electrical issues with the car that I'd like to sort out. Hoping someone local can give a hand.
Right now the dash illumination doesn't work and the rear taillamps had to be hacked to get to work. Over the years I'd had one of those starter buttons, a relocated cig lighter and a switch that fed power to the Scroth Autocontrol harness. I've taken all that stuff out, but need to get it back to the original (i.e. working) state.

Hey Juan, I'm out in LB right now. Don't know when I'll be back in the I.E., but if it happens in the next couple weeks then I'll drop by.
It sounds like one of your problems might be a broken dimmer switch. Since junkyard 2g's are hard to come by in the 909, a quick fix is to remove it and bypass the wiring on the back. You won't have a dimmer, but the dash lights will be on full brightness.

yo dude.
so I pulled out the dimmer switch, but is there a way to test it to see if its faulty? (Course, the batteries in my digital multitester are dead and I can't find my analog one...)
is there any details somewhere on how to bypass it? I'm not an electrical guru () like you...
I don't think I have your #, btw. Maybe PM it me when u get a chance.
